Just felt like sharing one of my layouts today, and as you read on, you'll see why I couldn't post something that I made today...this little beauty is from a Kit "Laugh With Me" by Ronna Penner, available Here Everytime I look at this picture of Melissa, I smile. She's just one of those kids that no matter what's going on, her laughter and her smile can make the hardest heart soften!

So, on to the reason I have not scrapped today: last night I did something SOOOO stupid and it made me totally cry. I feel stupid that it meant so much, but it really did. I was transferring my iPhoto library over to my external so that I could burn off backups and there was one day that the clock was off on my camera. So, I made a folder for the right date and moved the pictures over to the EHD. Then I pulled all the others over. When it asked " there is another folder with the same name, do you want to replace..." and I said yes cuz I forgot that I already had pulled the photos over!! Anyways, I emptied my trash before I realized what happened.

I have been dying to get pictures of Melissa at the pick your own pumpkin farm and we finally went yesterday and I took 111 pictures. A few of them were irreplaceable - a lady bug landed on a pumpkin Melissa was looking at and I got a whole bunch of shots ECU with her playing with the ladybug and it crawling up her hand and her cute little face. I was so excited about these pictures that I IM'd with Jenn and sent her a few of them to show her. I was able to recover 3 pictures so far, but they are 72 dpi at 3x5 - so scrapping or printing with them is out.

I posted over at digishoptalk.com about this and Julie mentioned that I should try to recover the pictures through my memory stick instead - that it is much easier to do it that way than find an unerase program. SOOO, I bought the program and I'm STILL WAITING for the download links. They said the links would be sent out in a "few minutes". Well, it's 8 hours later and no links yet. I want my pictures!!! I was so looking forward to playing with Holly's actions!

So now I have a dilemma: stay off my computer in case the retrieval from the card doesn't work, or risk it and scrap on my computer knowing I'll probably get the links tomorrow to recover the pictures from the card...
